150gsm cotton fabric
I bought this fabric to make scrubs for my NHS daughter who’s been surviving on 1 set- 5 sizes too big! A really good weight to work with, but I’d seen fabric on other sites where they advised washing beforehand due to colour-run and shrinkage. So I did, and the fabric did!! Just buy a bit extra to allow for the shrinkage. The colour didn’t transfer while sewing. It washes and irons beautifully, although it’s the last time they’re likely to be ironed!! The scrubs look great and I’d buy again to make more.

Unstable dye
I bought this in response to a request by hospital workers to make scrubs. This fabric has great colour, weight and handle. However, when I did a test I found the fabric had not been pre-shrunk and the dye was unstable. I have washed the fabric prior to starting to make the scrubs so as to avoid the garments shrinking after making. Even when the fabric has been dried and pressed, the colour is coming off on my hands while I'm sewing. Not good!
